After having his house egged by the vicious Hergenhan Clan, Chris and his two friends hatch up a revenge plot that leaves no one unscathed.

Synopsis

Chris, 17, is embroiled in a longstanding feud with his one-time friend, Wrigley Hergenhan, 17, and the numerous and vengeful Hergenhan Clan. One night, the kids of the town gather at Shipwreck Cove, a hangout in the woods, to watch Chris and Wrigley fight. However, when the body of Billy Tasto, a loner classmate, is discovered by police on the train tracks, the fight is abandoned.

That night, instead of fighting, Chris vandalizes the Hergenhan’s territory. The Clan retaliates by egging his house and stealing a gnome from his lawn. The next day, Chris convinces his two friends, Joe and G-Funk, to help him retrieve the stolen gnome and prank the Clan in revenge. The boys hike to “Gnome Island,” a spot deep in the woods, sacred to local kids. It has been used as a graveyard for stolen lawn ornaments for decades. When the boys arrive, they discover that the Clan has desecrated Gnome Island. As a result, Chris abandons his childish revenge plot and resorts to violence.

Unbeknownst to the boys, a hermit lurks in the woods, The Fisher King. Local lore tells the story of a man who has lost his daughter. The girl’s father has spent over a decade living out there, looking for her. When, in a final act of destruction against the Clan, Chris and G-Funk set fire to the woods, The Fisher King is driven out of hiding and seeks retribution on the outer world.
